So, as you all have probably noticed, Cyber Mewtwo has been promoted to Administrator. He has also taken Zenaku's place as head programmer of our original project, tentatively named Pokemon Delta. with Zenaku being absent from my internet communications (as well as anyone else's who we mutually knew) for over 5 months now, I decided it was time to pass off the job to someone who would show us progress and give us some motivation to continue working through his updates on his own progress in making the skeleton of the game (that being all of the formulas and basic gameplay programming; we as a whole must apply the structure of the muscles and how they make the skeleton move, which I obviously mean to be the storyline). CM also replaced Meddle as my co-admin, and has taken over the role of spicing up our forums.
Speaking of Meddle, since ET hacked his AIM account (and around the same time, hacked his account here and deleted our work), Meddle and I have talked twice, which leads me to believe that he no longer has an interest in pursuing a partnership here on this project, which is disappointing. I've made attempts to talk to him, but he usually seems disinterested in conversation, and has become a regular member at Amazing_Ampharos' modserver (and modserver forums as well).
You all might have also noticed Casmat's promotion to moderating the Pokemon Competitor Mods board, which is used to discuss changes to and additions of Pokemon that we will apply to both the future modserver on the upcoming simulator, Pokemon Competitor, and on our Pokemon Delta project. I felt Casmat has made sound and positive contributions, which I feel reflect his strong interest in helping. Thus, his position to help me run that board.
I know I have already mentioned it before, but I'd like to point out Dragon_Hawk's hard work on the forum, with actually taking the time to look over the metagame as a whole, and assist in analyzing the changes made. I'm looking forward to having a one-on-one conversation with Dragon_Hawk at some point, to discuss forum staff roles, as I'd like him to have some sort of authorative power to help maintain the site.
I would like to conclude this first update with a warm thanks to all of you, who kept with me through all the bullshit, from the forum hacking, to the Alienne region forum move, and then finally coming back. I know we lost a lot of work when ET (or someone with some relation to ET) hacked our forums, and it was disheartening. We lost over 3/4 of our workforce, and it's taken a while to get into a steady pace of getting good, positive feedback on the ideas we salvaged from memory, and ideas we had to find to replace those we lost. I appreciate your interest in assisting me in my endeavors to make a new, fun (and yet balanced, hopefully) metagame, and also in working on the long, long process of actually making a game. I hope your enthusiasm continues in the future, even when my bipolarity causes my interest in this forum to shift, leading me to neglect my role here for a few days. So, in conclusion, thanks for the help, and lets hope we keep the motivation to continue and finish!
ps: It would be great if we could get a few more people around here to help, not just in general feedback, but specifically in spriting and mapping, as I don't have the dedication to sprite the potential 30+ new Pokemon from scratch. I'd ask Omis to join us, but with his recent inconsistency to be online, I can't trust that he'll be reliable enough to have the main role of spriter here on the forum. Sadly, he IS the best scratch spriter I have met, tho I'm working on hiring Defense.2 from PE2k to join, as his style and technique are quite on par with Omis; but it is his dedication and genuine interest in our project that I question, which leads to my hesitation to get his help.
