Okay, looks like someone fucking beat us to the punch and im officially pissed off.

atfirst me and khold were also discussinng just having a single pokemon island as the battle area where the entire game is single player but you go off to that battle tower to connect with other trainers and such. this didnt seem too bad at all and i was thinking we could go with it but then i realized why i wanted mmo in the first place. to do something no1 else had yet to do.
another idea was you meet up with them at pokemon centers and such. now i honestly feel we HAVE to do mmo. idk. i saw this other site and i got pissed cuz we were working on it first in my opinion. idk. all i know is i wanna work even harder now to make sure we have a game that pwns this and all other games that others might try to come up with to trumph us.

heres my current suggestion for mmo style in our game. idk if anyof you guys have every played guildwars but the way it works is the entire game is setup as u can play by urself if u want and no1 fucks up your shit because u only see other players in towns and if you wanna play with someone there or ur friend you just add them to your temporary party. what i was thinking is maybe trainers can meet up in pokemon centers and party together from there. making the game story match so that other players can go ahead and join honestly dosnt seem too hard to do variable wise. (if u needa find a key to open a door, only 1 person really needs a key. if some1 else also happens to come accross a key, no worries cuz you keep it in your key items anyways - things like that.) as for battles, group battles arnt too bad. or better yet the bosses can come in pairs or w/e. as in yeah, party leader might get a head boss but other enemy trainers can appear for each person in the party. we can maybe have a limit of 3-4 persons per party (keeping it real to the anime series ). maybe something like that.
i know id be hard but i tested the other mmo engine and iv been tryin to compress data as much as i can to get the network working as fast as possible, im ganna have to send it off to khold to test it to see what he thinks still. not to meantion the possibility of switchign over to another game designing software that wasnt sphere seeing as how we have yet to figure out how to compile the game into an exe. at the momment the most we can do is distribute it as a package that will open with sphere but i dont like having our work exposed and my codes at the disposition of anyone who's willing to give their magikarp 9999ATK and 99999SPD along with FIREBLAST. i dont want haxors messing with the game if its going to be mmo. if its single player they can fuck up all they want, but the game has to be fair and hacker free if we dont want players being scarred off into not playing.
this almost feels liek a rant for some odd reason but its just i saw this other pokemon online game and i got horribly fired up. im sorry but yeah. i really wanna know all your opinions on how we should make the game and how we should do it. mmo, single player, mix, design, party-style, all-around-trainers-everywhere, options, possibilities, quests, bosses, EVERYTHING. i want our game to succed and to be recognized above everyone else's intents. latly its been hard finding time for anything what with school and work and everything startng back up but i know we can do this if we just give it our all. our game is be the UBER POKEMON game.
i just feel mmo would really make our game stand out but its really up to you guys as a group. this game isnt just mine, its all of ours. so input your votes and opnions.
